Story of Hope

breast from sometime and I felt a slight burning sensation in my right breast. Most of the time I was just hoping the burning sensation was temporary. But in 2017, the pain was so severe I checked up and consulted to the doctors. They advised me certain tests which were very costly. I was unable to pay so much expenses of the test. One day I heard an announcement from my village Gurudwara sahib about the world cancer care charitable society organising a free medical camp at my area. It was arranged with the help of our NRI Brother S.GURPAL SINGH. I visited the camp and discussed my problem with the female doctors. Firstly she assessed my breast with the help of breast self examination then she advised me mammography test. It was done at free of cost at the spot in the camp. After a couple of weeks I received a phone call from the office that my report is positive and asked to do further tests. I m shocked because I had 2-3 cm long cancerous growth and then I am treating from P.GI hospital Chandigarh. On 28 February 2019 I had an operation to remove the lump. Since that operation I have undergone chemotherapy sessions and radiotherapy sessions and four chemotherapy sessions are completed. A one chemo round is done after twenty two days. The surgery was fine. I had no side effects but after the chemotherapy I completely feel weakness, my hair fell out. I know it is temporary and will continue to fight on. My entire family have been a great job in my health and for now, I can’t wait to finish my treatment. I have completed 4 chemotherapy sessions and 3 are left and then I will be free from cancer disease and now seriously I feel much better and thankful to the world cancer care whole team which helped me to diagnose my problem at the right time and saved my life. I suggest the people to organise this type of camps and help the poor people.
