Story of Hope

My name is Surjit kaur age 62 years. It was back in august 2017 when I first discovered that I had cancer. I want to say that I am a cancer fighter. There was an accident occur at my home and I got injury on my breast from this accident two years ago, a lump was formed in my breast over that place which was injured. So I went to the various Hospitals for the check-up. I was very nervous and scared at the time. I had concerned with doctors and I have taken homeopathic medicine for 6 month but there was no any improvement in my condition. I had sold my half home because of costly tests. Then one day world cancer care charitable society organized a free medical camp at my area and I visited that camp. I concerned with doctors and they advised me for mammography test. Mammography test is screening test that is free of cost available at camp site. After sometime I got report and it was positive for cancer. Within 2 weeks I received a one phone call from world cancer care office and they advised to me for further test known as FNAC (Fine Needle Aspiration cytology) is recommended to determine whether the lump is cancer. Unlikely my test report was Positive and then I call to world cancer care office, they said that our Punjab Government has provided 1.5Lakh amount for treatment of cancer patient. Then I have taken my treatment from ‘Shri Guru Ram Das Hospital’ Amritsar through government scheme. Breast surgery was done for the treatment, after the surgery, I felt fine so I didn’t worry. But I still ate healthfully and exercised .I tried to reduce my stress at work and now I am getting well. Thanks a lot to whole world cancer team for best advised.
