Sat shri akhal. My name is karnail singh s/o Uzagar singh. I am 100years old men from Ghoga in Batala tehsil, Gurdaspur, Punjab. Before my cancer was detected I had no knowledge of prostate cancer at all. I had no sign and symptoms and one day NRI S. Organizing a free medical camp at my village with the help of world cancer care charitable society on 27 August 2017 and I was just going to general check-up. It was only because of my age (97at the time) that camp doctor mentioned something about a PSA blood test. It was done on the spot as a free of cost at the camp site. I decided to have one and when the result came back, it was positive. I remembered vividly sometime I felt pain or discomfort during passing urination. Within couple of weeks I remember receiving a one phone call from cancer care office and she just said to me, very sensitively, you have cancer in your prostate. I was in shock. Thankfully the cancer was not aggressive and after some discussions, I decided to have chemotherapy treatment from ‘Shri Guru Ram Das’ hospital in Amritsar. I felt very lucky that I was diagnosed in time. Now my PSA level is down to 29.2. I am taking my medicine daily and every three months I have to go the hospital to get my routine check-up and I feel a lot of weakness in my body after getting my treatment. But I can also have weakness based on age. So my entire family is very careful about my diet. I eat fresh food daily which gives my body strength. I am very thankful to the entire world cancer charitable team who tested me on time to tell me about my illness and make my life longer.
