My name is Ranjodh singh s/o Atma singh from village Zirakh and Tehsil in Ludhiana District of Punjab state. One day I have read the news on television that world cancer care team is going to organise a free medical camp at my area on 6 JUNE 2018 and I visited this camp because of I am suffering from pain during urination since long time but I was ignoring it because I was thinking that it was happening due to my age, I am 60 years old at that time so that’s why I have this camp. Then I concerned with the doctors and discussed my problems with him. The doctors advised me to go for PSA test which was free of cost and available at camp site. I could never think of it and I might have cancer. My Report was positive about cancer and my PSA level was near about 49. I was very afraid of my cancer. Then I have received call from cancer care charitable society that one more test is required to confirm cancer and that test is biopsy. After biopsy the result was positive. I was feeling very sad and I was crying a lot. My father had same disease and it leads to death of my father. I have never imagined that this disease will affect me in future. There was a family history of cancer in my family but I ignored all the things and didn’t go for follow up which was very necessary. Then world cancer care charity advised me to take treatment from PGI Chandigarh where all facilities of treatment are free under the government scheme. I have taken a number of chemotherapy rounds in my treatment from PGI and so much costly injections. Now I am well today. Thanks a lot of entire world cancer team.
